Have you ever read a story about a tech company giving guns to robots, a startup making AI toys for kids, or Peter Thiel saying literally anything and thought: “YIKES! Someone should really create a whole video series about these kinds of stories, but make it funny so we’re not overwhelmed by existential dread!”

Well … Sophia Garrow did just that. Created as the counterpoint to her series “Good News Alert!,” “Yikes Alert!” is for all the stories that make you wonder why humans haven’t gone extinct.

And after developing a loyal online following, “Yikes Alert!” is coming to the stage. Sophia is teaming up with three of her favorite comedian friends to present their unhinged ideas for San Francisco and decide if reality really is yikes-ier than fiction.
